Reverse Auctions Rules

HOW REVERSE AUCTIONS WORK
Every Reverse Auction seed pack begins at its regular retail price. From there, the price automatically decreases by $1 every 10–15 minutes until it reaches its reserve price, which is the lowest possible price for that pack.
Once a pack reaches its reserve price, one of two things will happen. If the pack is purchased at any price, the auction immediately resets back to its original starting price and begins counting down again. If the pack is not purchased before the reserve timer expires, it will also automatically reset to its original starting price and begin another Reverse Auction cycle.
This process repeats continuously until the product is sold.

The Rules:
Adding a seed pack to your shopping cart does not reserve the pack, reserve its current price, or stop the Reverse Auction timer. It also does not prevent another customer from adding the exact same pack to their shopping cart and checking out before you.
Multiple customers can have the same seed pack in their shopping carts at the same time. The first customer to successfully complete checkout, submit payment, and click the “Place Order” button is the customer who receives the pack. Our Reverse Auctions operate on a strict first-come, first-served basis with no exceptions.
While a seed pack remains in your shopping cart, the Reverse Auction timer continues to run. The price may continue dropping, it may reach its reserve price, or it may reset back to its original starting price. Prices are not protected while items are sitting in your cart.
To make the checkout process fairer, we added a 15-minute Checkout Price Lock. Once you enter the Checkout page—not the shopping cart—the current prices of every Reverse Auction item in your order are locked for up to 15 minutes. During that time, your prices will not increase, decrease, or reset while you complete your purchase.
The Checkout Price Lock only begins after you enter the Checkout page. Simply adding items to your shopping cart does not lock their prices.

If you do not complete checkout within the 15-minute price lock, your protection expires. At that point, the Reverse Auction continues normally in the background. If an item’s price has changed or the auction has reset while you were checking out, the current auction price will apply. If more than 15 minutes have passed, simply refresh the Checkout page before completing your purchase to ensure you are viewing the current prices.
Every Reverse Auction has its own countdown timer. It is your responsibility to monitor the remaining time before a price drop or reset occurs. If a pack only has a few seconds remaining before its next change, it is up to you to decide whether you have enough time to begin checkout before the timer expires.
Most customers try to purchase seed packs at their reserve prices. Please remember that reserve prices are only available for a limited time. Once that timer expires, the auction automatically resets back to its original starting price if the pack has not been purchased.
If you cannot complete checkout, submit payment, and click the “Place Order” button within your 15-minute Checkout Price Lock, your locked prices will expire. If the auction has reset during that time, the new auction price becomes the current price and will apply to your order.
Your prices are locked for 15 minutes once you enter the Checkout page. Adding items to your shopping cart does not lock prices.
Please do not contact customer support claiming there was still time remaining or that an auction timer malfunctioned. Our Reverse Auction system has been independently tested and is functioning correctly. To ensure maximum accuracy, our auction timers synchronize with the NIST Internet Time Service (ITS) every 30 seconds.
Bottom-Line:
Our Reverse Auctions are fully automated and operate under strict first-come, first-served rules. Prices cannot be manually adjusted, overridden, or honored after they change. Every auction automatically resets whenever a product is purchased or whenever it reaches its reserve price without being purchased.
It is each customer’s responsibility to monitor the auction timers and allow enough time to complete checkout. If there is not enough time remaining before a timer expires, we recommend either proceeding directly to checkout or waiting for the next Reverse Auction cycle.
Once you enter the Checkout page, your current Reverse Auction prices are protected for up to 15 minutes, giving you enough time to complete your purchase without auction price changes affecting your order.
Bottom-Bottom-Line:
If you don’t agree with the Reverse Auction rules or how the system works, please don’t use it. Nobody is forcing you to use it.
Tips:
Register for an account and save all your addresses and user information, so you won’t have to waste time typing it all out during checkout.
